Newport until Oct 31. Bridge rehabilitation project on E. McMillan Street over U.S. Route 42 (Reading Road).
Contractors working for the Ohio Department of Transportation will close a lane on southbound Burnet Avenue under E. McMillan Street daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. while crews continue work on the bridge. Also, one lane remains closed on E. McMillan Street.
The entire project calls for replacing pier pylons and lighting, repairing the substructure, replacing abutment bearings, painting structural steel, resurfacing the bridge deck and other preservation items of the McMillan Street bridge.
Prus Construction Company was awarded a contract for approximately $1.63 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024.

Summerside until Sep 15, 2024. S.R. 32/Bach Buxton Project.
With work progressing at the S.R. 32/Bach Buxton Road interchange project in Clermont County, several traffic changes will go into effect next week along the S.R. 32 corridor, including a permanent closure at the Glen Este-Withamsville Road intersection and a temporary ramp closure at the S.R. 32/I-275 South interchange.
Friday, June 2: Single-lane closures on S.R. 32 East and West between Eastgate Boulevard and Olive Branch-Stonelick Road, nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day through Saturday, June 10.
Sunday, June 4: Closure of the south leg of Glen Este-Withamsville Road from S.R. 32. This will be a permanent closure. Eastbound S.R. 32 traffic may use the new Clepper Lane off-ramp; westbound S.R. 32 motorists may continue traveling west to the Eastgate Boulevard interchange and follow this to either Eastgate South Drive or Aicholtz Road to Glen Este-Withamsville Road. Southbound Glen Este-Withamsville Road motorists may follow either S.R. 32 East to the Clepper Lane off-ramp or S.R. 32 West to Eastgate Boulevard.
Closure of the flyover ramp from southbound I-275 to eastbound S.R. 32 (Exit 63B) beginning at 8 p.m. Sunday and continuing through Friday, June 9. Motorists will use Exit 63A to access S.R. 32 East or West.
Wednesday, June 7: Closure of the intersection of Bach Buxton Road and Clepper lane, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Thursday, June 8, for water main work. Southbound Bach Buxton motorists will be detoured by way of S.R. 32, Olive Branch-Stonelick Road, Old S.R. 74, and Shayler Road. Clepper Lane traffic will be detoured via Glen Este-Withamsville Road, Clough Pike, and Shayler Road to Bach Buxton.
As part of the Eastern Corridor program, the S.R. 32/Bach Buxton interchange project will create a new, full-service diamond interchange along S.R. 32 immediately east of the existing Elick Lane intersection by realigning and extending Bach Buxton Road over S.R. 32 and connecting with Old S.R. 74 on the north side.
The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $42.5 million to undertake the project, and all work is scheduled to be complete in late fall 2024.

As construction continues on the state Route 32 Green-T intersection project, the following lane closures will be in place next week to switch traffic for the next phase of construction.
TBD - On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 13-15, single-lane closures will be in effect on S.R. 32 between Beechwood and Winridge roads while contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation place barrier wall to establish the maintenance of traffic plan, re-routing eastbound S.R. 32 traffic to the westbound side of the route for crews to repair a slide along the eastbound (south) hillside.
The lane restrictions will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, and traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Following this, westbound S.R. 32 traffic will continue to use the right lane of S.R. 32 West, and eastbound traffic will be diverted to the left lane of westbound S.R. 32. This phase of construction and the traffic switch is anticipated to be in effect through late August. In addition, Eight Mile Road will remain closed at its junction with S.R. 32 through mid to late fall, and traffic will continue to be detoured via Clough Pike, Mt. Carmel Tobasco Road and S.R. 32.
As part of the Green-T project, construction includes widening a portion of S.R. 32; realigning, widening and improving the profile grade on Eight Mile; installing signals; replacing drainage; and repairing a slide repair along eastbound S.R. 32. Once completed, the Green-T intersection will provide for a free-flow of traffic for westbound S.R. 32 motorists with a continuous green light, while turning movements to and from Eight Mile Road and eastbound S.R. 32 traffic will be maintained with a signal.
The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $4.57 million to undertake the project, and all work is scheduled to be complete in the summer of 2024.

New Richmond until Oct 1. A pair of culvert rehabilitations are set to begin on U.S. Route 52 and state Route 232, with construction getting under way next week.
On Monday, May 15, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will begin work to repair a bridge-sized culvert on U.S. 52, just north of Moscow Cemetary Road, as well as a culvert on S.R. 232 over Colclaser Run, north of Big Indian Road.
Throughout construction, traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers during hours of operation, daily from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Axis Civil Construction was awarded a contract in the amount of $453,108 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in late October 2023.

The entire project calls for rehabilitating two bridges located on Columbia Parkway, one over Heekin Avenue and one over the westbound ramp to Eastern Avenue, with full deck replacements, substructure repairs, structural steel painting, lighting, approach work, guardrail and railing.
Triton Construction, Inc. was awarded a contract for approximately $6.7 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in fall of 2023.

Closure of the ramp from I-74 West to Beekman Street (Exit 18) nightly from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via the Montana Avenue interchange and I-74 East to Beekman Street.
Thursday, June 1: Single-lane closure on I-74 East, from Montana Avenue to I-75 South, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Friday, June 2.
Friday, June 2: Single-lane closure on I-74 East and West, between Montana Avenue and I-75 South, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Saturday, June 3.
Single-lane closure on I-75 North, from Hopple Street to I-74 West, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Saturday.
Closure of the ramp from Hopple Street to I075 North between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Saturday.
The total project will reconfigure the I-75 South connection to I-74 East and perform additional improvements to the eastbound I-74 connections to I-75. During the initial phase of construction roadway, drainage and lighting improvements will be made on Borden Place, Powers Street, King Place, Elmore Street and Prang Street adjacent to I-74.
As part of this phase of construction, the following changes will be implemented:
Borden Pl. will be converted to a cul-de-sac.
Powers St. will be eliminated between Borden Pl. and King Pl.
The intersection of Powers St. and King Pl. will be reconfigured.
Powers St. will be extended to tie into Colerain Ave.
Prang St. will be relocated to the east.
The Great Lakes Construction Company was awarded the $85 million contract, and all work is scheduled to be complete by late summer 2025.

Ludlow until Sep 30. I-75 Resurfacing - Following a winter hiatus, operations will resume this week for a resurfacing project on Interstate 75 between the Brent Spence Bridge approach and the Western Hills Viaduct.
On Wednesday and Thursday, May 24 and 25, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be paving I-75 South between the viaduct and the bridge during the late evening and overnight hours. Single-lane closures will be in effect beginning at 8 p.m. each night, followed by a double-lane closure at 9 p.m. and a triple-lane closure at 11 p.m., with all restrictions lifted by 6 a.m. the following day.
Then beginning Tuesday, May 30, and continuing through Friday, June 2, crews will be paving the high-speed shoulder and high-speed lane of I-75 North. Single-lane closures will be in effect in the two-lane section between the bridge and Harrison Avenue from 8 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day.
Barrett Paving Materials, Inc., was awarded the $8.6 million project, and all work is scheduled to be completed by late summer.
