Georgetown Road Conditions

Near SeaTac. Expect nightly lane and ramp closures on northbound I-5 between SR 516 and S. 188th Street for road construction work. Sunday through Thursday nights, ramps begin closing as early as 7 p.m. and lanes at 8 p.m. All lanes and ramps will be open by 4:30 a.m. on weekdays. On Saturday nights, lanes and ramps may begin closing as early as 6:30 p.m. Lanes will reopen by 9 a.m. on Sunday and ramps by 10:30 a.m.

Near Seattle. Until further notice – The I-5 Express Lanes will be reduced from four to three lanes between the Ship Canal Bridge and Mercer Street as crews create a work zone for the SR 520/I-5 Express Lanes Connection Project.

Near DesMoines. One lane of westbound and eastbound SR 516 near I-5 may be closed nightly for construction work. Sunday nights through Friday mornings, lanes may be closed from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. On Saturday nights, lanes may be closed from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. At least one lane in each direction remains open for travel.

Near Bellevue until Tuesday. The northbound HOV off-ramp from to Northeast Sixth Street will be closed nightly, from Friday, June 2 to the morning of Monday, June 5, 9 p.m. – 9 a.m. A signed detour will be in place.

Near Yarrow Point. Flammable cargo is prohibited on SR 520 eastbound & westbound from Montlake Blvd (MP 1) to 84th Ave NE (MP 5).

Near Riverton until Tuesday. From 8 p.m. Monday, June 5, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, the right lane of southbound SR 99 will be closed between Tukwila International Blvd and S 102nd Street. The off-ramp from southbound SR 99 to South 116th Way also will close.

Near Newcastle until Jun 10. Up to two lanes of southbound I-405 between 112th and Sunset Boulevard will be closed nightly, from Monday, June 5 to the morning of Friday, June 9, 10:30 p.m. – 5 a.m.

Near Newport. From Monday, April 17 until further notice Sound Transit will close the westbound I-90 HOV ramps to Bellevue Way SE from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily Monday through Friday.

Near Kingsgate until Wednesday. The three right lanes of southbound I-405 southbound will close from 9 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, until 5 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, near the Northeast 124th Street interchange in Kirkland. All traffic will use the express toll lanes, which are free between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. The on-ramps to southbound I-405 from Northeast 124th Street also will close. A signed detour to the Northeast 116th Street on-ramp will be in place.
