Near White Oak until Jun 1. Install micro-conduit on S.R. 126 between I-275 and U.S. 27. Also install on I-275 between S.R. 28 and S.R. 32. (#223004)
Near Newport until Jun 1, 2024. Rehab. the bridge E. McMillan St. (C.R. 605) over U.S. 42 in the city of Cincinnati. As part of a bridge rehabilitation project, lane restrictions will be in place on E. McMillan Street at the bridge over U.S. Route 42 (Reading Road) in Cincinnati. During the first phase of the project, traffic on E. McMillan will be maintained in three lanes, and additional lane restrictions will be in effect on Reading Road and Burnet Avenue at the overpass, with single-lane closures on northbound Reading and southbound Burnet daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The entire project calls for replacing pier pylons and lighting, repairing the substructure, replacing abutment bearings, painting structural steel, resurfacing the bridge deck and other preservation items. Prus Construction Company was awarded a contract for approximately $1.63 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2024. (22-485)
Near Mount Carmel until Jul 31, 2024. Construction of an intersection improvement project on state Route 32 near Newtown in eastern Hamilton County. Portable concrete barrier (PCB) wall is along the shoulder and right-turn lane of westbound S.R. 32, between the taper of Eight Mile Road and the drive to Makers Church, east of Winridge Road. Although the right lane of S.R. 32 is closed, motorists may turn right into the driveway entrance from the existing straight or thru lane. Along with this, the left lane of S.R. 32 West is closed between Beechwood and Eight Mile roads; however, it will be open near the approach to the Eight Mile Road intersection for left-turn movements to Eight Mile. The Green T intersection will provide for a free-flow of traffic for westbound S.R. 32 motorists with a continuous green light, while turning movements to and from Eight Mile Road and eastbound S.R. 32 traffic will be maintained with a signal. In addition to this, construction will include profile improvements to Eight Mile Road and a slide repair on S.R. 32. The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $4.57 million to undertake the project, and all work is scheduled to be complete in the summer of 2024. (#220438)
Near Summerside until Sep 15, 2024. S.R. 32/Bach Buxton Project. Bridge work requires daily and overnight lane closures next week on the S.R. 32/Bach Buxton Road interchange project in Clermont County. Single- and double-lane closures will be in place on S.R. 32 East, from Fayard Drive to Old S.R. 74, between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, April 3-5. Traffic will be maintained. In addition, nightly lane closures will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday morning, April 5-7, and traffic will be maintained. Permanent closures have been implemented at Newberry Drive and Fayard Drive at eastbound S.R. 32, and with these local roads closed, motorists will be redirected by way of Elick Lane, Bach Buxton Road and Shayler Road. The Eastern Corridor program includes multiple projects to meet traffic demands, reduce congestion, and improve overall access and safety, and construction of a new interchange at state Route 32 and Bach Buxton Road/Elick Lane is one of the many projects outlined in Segments IV and IVA that will address the growing transportation needs along the S.R. 32 corridor in Clermont County. The S.R. 32/Bach Buxton interchange project will create a new, full-service diamond interchange along S.R. 32 immediately east of the existing Elick Lane intersection by realigning and extending Bach Buxton Road over S.R. 32 and connecting with Old S.R. 74 on the north side. As part of the interchange project, the intersection of Elick Lane at S.R. 32 will be eliminated, and Elick Lane will be turned into a cul-de-sac. Newberry Drive (at the former Thorntons gas station) will also be closed permanently, and three traffic signals within the corridor will be eliminated. Due to safety concerns, the intersection from eastbound S.R. 32 to Fayard Drive was closed. Westbound S.R. 32 to Fayard Drive will be closed in August 2023; this is a permanent closure in which Fayard Drive will cul-de-sac at the junction with S.R. 32. Additional phases of the project will include constructing a third, westbound lane on S.R. 32, between the new interchange and Glen Este-Withamsville Road, and realigning Bach Buxton Road between Marian Drive and Clepper Lane. Site preparations are under way with clearing and structure demolition, and traffic along S.R. 32 will continue to be maintained during the initial stages of construction. Newberry Drive is closed, and motorists have access to S.R. 32 by way of Marian Drive and Bach Buxton. The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $42.5 million to undertake the project, and all work is scheduled to be complete in late fall 2024. For additional information regarding the entire Eastern Corridor program, visit Eastern Corridor Transportation Improvements, and for ongoing traffic, construction and weather-related information throughout the state, please visit www.OHGO.com. (#21-591)
Near Terrace Park until Jun 1. Install micro-conduit on I-275 between S.R. 32 and S.R. 28. Also install on S.R. 126 between I-275 and U.S. 27. (223004)
Near Landen until Jun 30. Changes will soon be coming to signals on the U.S. Route 22 (Montgomery Road) in Hamilton and Warren counties, as construction gets under way beginning next week for an intersection improvement project to enhance safety and traffic flow along the corridor. Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be installing detection equipment and implementing signal enhancements to install flashing yellow arrow heads on U.S. Route 22/Montgomery Road, from the signal at the eastbound I-275 interchange ramp to the one at the Landen Drive intersection. The flashing yellow arrows replace the traditional green ball for left-turn movements, allowing drivers to turn left with a flashing yellow arrow only when there is no oncoming traffic and crosswalks are clear of pedestrians and bicyclists. By providing more turning opportunities and keeping traffic moving, the flashing yellow arrow has been proven to reduce left-turn crashes and minimize travel delays. Construction on the signals started Monday, March 20, at the I-275 and Hertz Drive signal, and crews will progress eastward along the route through the spring and early summer. The existing signals will continue to operate in standard fashion, and although there should be minor impacts to motorists, traffic will be maintained with the use of flaggers as needed during crews' work hours. In addition to the signal work on Montgomery Road, the contractor will be upgrading signals on state Route 125, between May Street and Woodlands Drive in Clermont County, and installing ramp meter signals at the I-75 North entrance ramp from Mitchell Avenue. Complete General Construction was awarded a contract for approximately $1.24 million to complete the upgrade, and all work is scheduled for completion in late summer of 2023.
Near Woodsdale Park until Sep 1. Culvert preservation on S.R. 129 over the Mill Creek, just east of Liberty Fairfield Rd. (#22-603)

Motorists may detour by way of the Montana Avenue interchange and I-74 East. The total project will reconfigure the I-75 South connection to I-74 East and perform additional improvements to the eastbound I-74 connections to I-75. During the initial phase of construction roadway, drainage and lighting improvements will be made on Borden Place, Powers Street, King Place, Elmore Street and Prang Street adjacent to I-74. As part of this phase of construction, the following changes will be implemented: Borden Pl. will be converted to a cul-de-sac. Powers St. will be eliminated between Borden Pl. and King Pl. The intersection of Powers St. and King Pl. will be reconfigured. Powers St. will be extended to tie into Colerain Ave. Prang St. will be relocated to the east. The Great Lakes Construction Company was awarded the $85 million contract, and all work is scheduled to be complete by late summer 2025. (203000)
