Near Sunnybank on Apr 23. Sunday, 23 April 2023 - Special event at Nissan Arena. SSN 2023 Queensland Firebirds Home Game. Use alternative route. The Queensland Firebirds will be having a home game at Nissan Arena. The event will see peak traffic conditions between 12:00 - 17:00. No roads are closed, however, there will be congestion experienced on Mains and Kessels Road as people arrive and depart the precinct. No parking will be available in the Nissan Arena/QSAC precinct unless pre-purchased. All patrons will otherwise arrive via foot or public transport. Police and Traffic Controllers will aid to control congestion via traffic controls.

Near South Brisbane until Aug 8. Permanent traffic changes on Grey Street and Melbourne Street required to complete major works. Observe signage. Currently in place: - Grey Street reduced to two traffic lanes (one lane in each direction) between Russell Street and Peel Street - Melbourne Street closed to general traffic between Hope Street and Grey Street. General traffic will not be able to access Melbourne Street: -inbound between Hope Street and Grey Street -outbound between Grey Street and Merivale Street. - removal of the left-hand turn from Hope Street onto Melbourne Street for all motorists. - removal of the left-hand turn from Grey Street onto Melbourne Street for all motorists. Albert Street, Brisbane between Mary Street and Charlotte Street will be permanently closed to general traffic from 12:01 am Monday 30 September 2019 to enable the construction of the Cross River Rail project's new Albert Street underground station. www.crossriverrail.qld.gov.au

Near Springwood until Dec 22, 2024. Pacific Motorway (M1) – EMP2DH upgrade. Package 3 – Watland Street to Sports Drive. Allow extra travel time. The Watland Street Sports Drive Upgrade focuses on widening the M1 up to 4 southbound lanes between north of Exit 19 (Rochedale Road) to Logan Road; widening the M1 up to 4 northbound lanes between the Watland Street overpass to the Sports Drive on-ramp; extending the busway to Springwood; a new M1 on-ramp at Lexington Road; widening Rochedale Road from Exit 19 to Springwood Road; extending the V1 Veloway cycleway; and Smart motorways technologies.

Near Wooloowin until Apr 29. Northern Transitway - Gympie Rd, Sadlier St to Hamilton Rd. Changed traffic conditions. Road construction works will be taking place along Gympie Road, between Sadlier Street and Hamilton Road from late August 2021. Most of the work will be undertaken at night from 7pm to 5am, Sunday to Friday for road user safety and to avoid would otherwise be extensive traffic queueing and disruption to the road network. Motorists may experience changed traffic conditions, including speed limit restrictions, lane closures, reduced lane widths and other traffic control. Changes to local street access and bus stop locations are also required to facilitate construction of the Northern Transitway project. Please allow extra travel time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers.

Near Woolloongabba until May 31, 2024. Lane closures in place for Brisbane Metro works on O'Keefe Street, Woolloongabba. Diversions are in place. From September 2022 to mid-2024, Brisbane Move will undertake major construction works at Buranda busway station. These works are required to facilitate the Buranda busway station upgrade and extension works to improve busway operations and cater for metros as part of the Brisbane Metro project. To facilitate major works, the following traffic changes and detours will be in place on O’Keefe Street from Sunday 18 September 2022 until mid-2024: • The eastbound carriageway on O'Keefe Street between Carl Street and Gillingham Street will be closed to all traffic. A detour will be in place via Carl Street, Cornwall Street, Logan Road and Montague Street • The westbound carriageway on O'Keefe Street, between Gillingham Street and Carl Street will be reduced to a single lane. Traffic management will be in place to assist motorists, cyclist and pedestrians around work areas.

Temporary traffic changes include, road shoulder and lane closures, traffic detours, roadworks speed limit reductions and short-term traffic disruptions. Please allow extra time when planning your travel and follow the directions of roadside signage and traffic controllers. Works is subject to weather and construction conditions permitting.

Near Aspley until Thursday. Downfall Creek Bridge Repairs and Maintenance on Gympie Road between Banfield Street and Murphy Road. Changed traffic conditions. Downfall Creek Bridge repair and maintenance works on Gympie Road between 6:30pm to 5am between 9/01/2023 to 31/03/2023. Motorists can expect partial lane closures, reduced speed limits and short delays.

Near Browns Plains until Jun 1. Roadworks Project - Intersection upgrade. Changed traffic conditions. Works will commence in July 2022 and are expected to be completed by June 2023. Long term speed reductions will be in place along with day time shoulder closures between 7am and 5pm and night time lane closures between 7pm and 5am, in both directions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and changed traffic conditions throughout the project.

Near Capalaba until Mar 31. Old Cleveland Road Safety improvements: New Cleveland Road and Tinchborne Street. Changed traffic conditions. The Department of Transport and Main Roads advise safety improvement works are underway on Old Ceveland Road at the New Cleveland Road and Tinchborne Street intersections. Road users can expect changed traffic conditions including reduced speeds, lane and shouder closures, detours and minor delays. Nearby residents/businesses may experience short term impacts, including noise, dust and lights from construction equipment and activities onsite. Temporary lane closures will be in place on the Gateway Motorway on-ramp northbound from the Pacific Motorway, Eight Mile Plains and on the Pacific Motorway, Rochedale from January 2023. There will intermittent closures from January to August 2023, between 8pm and 5am Sundays to Thursdays.
