. Work Zone Construction Activities. I-75 RAMP to KY 8. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) today announced the updated schedule for several temporary ramp closures that will be put into place for the Texas Turnaround project. On Monday, April 11, at approximately 9 p.m., weather permitting, the entrance ramp to I-71/75 northbound from Pike St. will be closed for 180 days. A detour route will be put into place and marked with signage. Traffic will be directed to follow Bullock St. to I-71/75 southbound to Kyles Ln., and then reenter I-71/75 northbound. Also, on Monday, April 11, at approximately 9 p.m., weather permitting, the exit ramp from I-71/75 northbound to 5th St. will be closed for 180 days. A detour route will be put into place and marked with signage. Traffic will be directed to use the 12th St. exit from I-71/75 northbound to Simon Kenton Way to Pike St. to Main St. to 5th St. KYTC also noted that access to the entrance ramp to I-71/75 northbound from 4th St. will not immediately be impacted, and is not anticipated to close until closer to project completion, which is expected by the end of the year. until Oct 31. Bridge preservation project on U.S. Route 50 (W. Sixth Street).
Work also includes bridge deck sealing on state Route 562 and Interstate 75, at dates to be determined.
A & A Painting, LLC was awarded a contract for approximately $862,288 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed by mid-fall 2022.
Near Villa Hills
until Nov 1. Urban paving on U.S. 50 (River Road) from Anderson Ferry Road to Fairbanks Avenue. Includes pavement repairs, curb work, pavement markings and raised pavement markers.
Grinding and leveling work started on Monday, June 20. Traffic will be maintained, but expect delays in the area.
until Jun 1, 2023. Installation of left-turn lanes in both directions on U.S. 27 at New London Road and Herman Road, and on U.S. 27 South at Ross-Millville Road.
Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2023.
until Sep 1. The next phase of a project to replace and repair three culverts on state Route 264 (Bridgetown Road) in Hamilton County is starting.
Prus Construction Company was awarded a contract for approximately $163,187 to rehab all three culverts, and while most work was completed during the 2021 construction season, all remaining work is scheduled to be completed in late summer of this year.

until Aug 16. U.S. 127 culvert replacement.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 8, contractors working for the Ohio Department of Transportation closed U.S. 127 between Morganthaler and Spring roads until Aug. 16. During closure, traffic will be detoured via U.S. 127, Jacksonburg Road, and S.R. 73.
Near Woodsdale Park
until Nov 30. Resurfacing for the addition of a right-turn lane from Liberty-Fairfield Road to southbound state Route 4.
On Wednesday, April 27, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation started resurfacing Liberty-Fairfield Road at the S.R. 4 intersection, and lane closures will in effect daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The entire project calls for resurfacing and restriping Liberty-Fairfield Road to add a southbound right-turn lane onto S.R. 4, as well as modifying the traffic signal at the intersection. Traffic will be maintained in the work zone throughout construction.
The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $208,196 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in mid-fall.
All work will be contingent upon the weather.
until Aug 30. Operations on the dual bridge repair project on state Route 177 continue, and a lane closure will be in place.
Beginning Wednesday, July 27, a single-lane closure will be in place on S.R. 177 between Nichols and Hogue roads daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Tuesday, August 30. Traffic will be maintained with flaggers.
Contractors working for the Ohio Department of Transportation will replace the bridge deck and place a new concrete overlay, upgrade the bridge railing and guardrail, install new expansion joints and pavement markings.
Complete General Construction Co. was awarded a contract for approximately $685,000 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed by August 2022.
until Jun 1, 2023. Bridge rehabilitation project along U.S. Route 50 (Columbia Parkway).
In preparation for bridge work, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation will be constructing median crossovers, which will require lane and shoulder closures during construction.
Beginning Monday, August 8, the right lane and shoulder of eastbound Columbia Parkway will be closed from the Beechmont Avenue to the Red Bank Road interchanges between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily through Monday, August 15. Then, on August 15, the left lane will be closed in each direction from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Wednesday, September 7.
The entire project calls for rehabilitating two bridges located on Columbia Parkway, one over Heekin Avenue and one over the westbound ramp to Eastern Avenue, with full deck replacements, substructure repairs, structural steel painting, lighting, approach work, guardrail and railing.
Triton Construction, Inc. was awarded a contract for approximately $6.7 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in summer of 2023.

Sunesis Construction Company was awarded a contract for approximately $507,674 to complete the work, and all work is scheduled to be completed by September 2022.

The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for $2.9 million to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2022.
