Hamilton until Jul 31. The Butler County Engineer's Office reports the start of roundabout construction at the Five Points intersection beginning Mon., March 14.
The first construction phase requires a 60-day closure of Hancock Avenue from the intersection to approximately 100 feet southeast of Bender Avenue. The road will be closed to all through traffic and is tentatively scheduled to reopen on May 13, weather permitting. Hamilton Mason Road and Grand Boulevard will remain open until the final weeks of construction.
Federally and locally funded by the Ohio Department of Transportation, the BCEO, and the city of Hamilton, the multi-phased construction project will improve the five-road intersection by converting it to a single-lane roundabout with curb and gutter, storm sewer installation, and new pedestrian facilities. With the lowest bid of $2,239,639, Rack & Ballauer Excavating will build the roundabout, scheduled for completion by the end of July 2022.
Hancock Avenue (Phase 1) Detour: Northwest-bound Hancock Avenue traffic will detour west on Grand Boulevard and north on Harmon Avenue. Southeast-bound traffic will reverse this route.

Mack until Jun 30. Replace and repair three culverts on state Route 264 (Bridgetown Road) in Hamilton County.
Crews will be rehabilitating two structures located between Cleves and El Vista Drive and near Moonridge Drive, respectively, and although a start date for work at either site has yet to be outlined, it is anticipated that construction will begin in early spring of next year.
Prus Construction Company was awarded a contract for approximately $163,187 to rehab all three culverts, and all work is scheduled for completion in late summer of 2022.

Wetherington until Nov 30. Butler County Engineers Office - reconfigure the interchange of S.R. 129 at Liberty Way and I-75. The two-season project involves the extension of S.R. 129 east to a roundabout at Cox Road, north of Liberty Way.
Existing ramp connections will also be reconfigured along with the construction of a new bridge. Additional ramp paving has been included in this project.
Crews will start on the west side of the roundabout installation on Cox Road, which will remain open to The Christ Hospital. Bridge and westbound S.R. 129 and northbound I-75 on-ramp work will also occur in that vicinity with minimal construction on S.R. 129 itself. Traffic will be maintained for most of the construction period, especially in the early phases.
Sunesis Construction, which submitted the low bid of $24,516,510, will perform the S.R. 129/Liberty Way/I-75 Interchange Modification project. The project is tentatively scheduled to be completed in November 2022.

Woodsdale Park until Jul 31. Resurfacing for the addition of a right-turn lane from Liberty-Fairfield Road to southbound state Route 4.
On Wednesday, April 27, contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation started resurfacing Liberty-Fairfield Road at the S.R. 4 intersection, and lane closures will in effect daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through approximately late-May.
The entire project calls for resurfacing and restriping Liberty-Fairfield Road to add a southbound right-turn lane onto S.R. 4, as well as modifying the traffic signal at the intersection. Traffic will be maintained in the work zone throughout construction.
The John R. Jurgensen Company was awarded a contract for approximately $208,196 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in mid-summer.
All work will be contingent upon the weather.

Mayfield until May 31. Construction for an intersection improvement project on state Route 122 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in the city of Middletown is scheduled to resume.
The entire project that calls for improvements to the horizontal alignment on eastbound Roosevelt Boulevard at the intersection with Breiel, while also providing an eastbound right-turn lane. The project also includes re-aligning the southbound left-turn lane on Breiel and constructing a new traffic signal with revised signal timings.
Rack & Ballauer Excavating was awarded a contract for approximately $875,896 to complete the project, and all work is scheduled to be completed in the summer.

All lanes, including the roundabout, are open to traffic. Operations have been suspended for the winter months; however, crews will return in the spring to complete final paving operations, pavement markings and other finishing work. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2022.

Contractors for the Ohio Department of Transportation have begun daily lane closures on S.R. 126, just east of the Ridge Road/Columbia Avenue interchange, to mobilize equipment onto the project site.
Traffic will be maintained in the work zone.
Sunesis Construction Co. was awarded a contract for $461,000 to repair the slide and perform related culvert outlet work, and all work is scheduled to be completed by late fall of 2022.

As part of the Interstate 75/Thru the Valley project, the following overnight lane and ramp closures will be in effect on Interstate 75 and at the Sharon Road exit this week.
On Monday, May 23, the ramp from Sharon Road to I-75 South will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday, May 24. Then, on the following night, the ramp from Sharon to I-75 North will be closed from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, May 25.
In addition to the ramp closures, single-lane closures will be in effect in either direction from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night.
Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution in the affected areas. All work will be contingent upon the weather.
