Strongsville Road Conditions

Near Richfield until Nov 30, 2024. I-77 between Miller Rd. and SR 21 will have various lane closures beginning on Monday, November 7, for interchange improvements through November 2024.

Near Independence until Jun 30. I-480 under SR 21 (Brecksville Rd.) will have various nightly lane restrictions beginning on Monday, March 14, through June 2023.

Near Seven Hills until Oct 31. I-77 northbound entrance and exit ramps to Rockside Rd. will have various lane restrictions beginning on Monday, February 27, through late October for interchange improvements.

Near Medina until Jun 30, 2024. State Route 18, from just west of Alber Drive to Nettleton Road, will have single lane closures as crews widen and reconstruct the roadway. NEW IMPACTS: Foote Road, between SR 18 and Timber Trail, will close Monday, March 27 for approximately 60 days for the complete removal and replacement of Foote Road. CONTINUING IMPACTS: SR 18 traffic, from Foote Road to River Styx Road, has been shifted onto the northside of the road as crews work on the southside. Crews continue pavement and driveway removal along the southside of SR 18. Crews are working on the permanent signals throughout the project limits and the pedestrian bridge over the Rocky River. Left turns movements, between Nettleton Road and the new Frontage Roads, will be restricted with the installation of the concrete median. Traffic will be directed to use the legal U-turns at Nettleton Road and Frontage Road to reach businesses in this area. The traffic configuration on SR 18 will have a minimum of one lane in each direction with turn lanes at intersections.

Near Brunswick until Jun 30. U.S. 42 (Pearl Road) in the city of Brunswick, from Sleepy Hollow Road to Boston Road, will have lane closures for a minor rehabilitation project. The project includes the complete resurfacing and full depth repairs of U.S. 42, along with curb and sidewalk work. NEW IMPACTS: Daily work zones, between SR 303 and Boston Road, will be set up to install loop detectors at various intersections. Traffic will be maintained at all times using flaggers or single lane closures. Work from Sleepy Hollow Road to SR 303 is anticipated to begin early April, weather depending.

Near Middleburg Heights until May 31. Whitney Rd. over I-71 will be reduced to one lane maintained by a temporary signal through Spring 2023.

Near Lakewood until May 13. I-90 westbound to Hillard Rd. will have various lane restrictions beginning on Monday, February 27, through early May.

Near Brook Park until May 31. I-71 between I-480 and W. 117th St. has various weekend lane restrictions and ramp closures through May.

Near Avon Lake until Sep 29. U.S. 6, through the city of Avon Lake, will have crews working on curb ramp work throughout the project limits. There will be no lane closures or travel restrictions as crews will be working off the roadway.

Near Cleveland until Aug 31. Center St. bridge over the Cuyahoga River between Merwin Ave. and Riverbed St. will be closed through summer 2023, for bridge rehabilitation.

Near Newburgh Heights until May 31. Beginning on Thursday, October 28, E. 75th St. over the Norfolk Southern/ GCRTA railroad in Cleveland will be closed through late May for bridge replacement.

Near Brooklyn Heights until Jun 30. U.S. 42 (Pearl Rd.) over the Railroad near Wildlife Way beginning on Monday, February 6, will be reduced to one lane in each direction through late June for bridge repairs.
